are all superb 18 Hole Championship courses and the Blue Peter Hotel
will arrange all your golfing needs
Stranraer
Golf Club
The spirt of James Braid, five times Open Champion, lives on in
this classic championship course, the last he designed. Unfortunately
he died in 1951 before the course opened.
In the Spring of 1994 a new two story Club House was built, to complement
this, the finist of courses. From the first floor lounge bar with
a backdrop of surrounding hills, Loch Ryan and passing ferries to
and from Ireland. Due to the mild climate in the South West of Scotland
the course remains playable all year and is frost free on all but
a few days.
Dunskey
Golf Club, Port Patrick
A
very well kept, undulating links course, Dunskey has some exceptionally
scenic clifftop holes, tempting visitors to return, year after year.
The wind is often a factor, and the par 68 can be quite difficult
to play. Dunskey hosts several annual tournaments and visitors are
encouraged to join in competitive play.
Adjacent
to the clubhouse, the par 3, 9 hole Dinvin course is certainly not
to be sneezed at. A tricky layout which has several blind holes,
it is bound to improve you short game.
